1st Visit:
Copenhagen was wet and dull. The weather reminded me of my home city of Glasgow, except a bit warmer. After dropping my things off at the hostel I decided to go for a walk around the city. By the time I left the hostel the sun had well and truly set and the cities night life was just getting started. One thing that I realised was the lack of street lighting. It was strange to pass so many beautiful buildings that had no light on them, making it difficult to get photos with my phone. Returning to the hostel I decided to get a quick drink in a pub which seemed to be off the beaten trail. Enjoying a couple of Carlsbergs (surprisingly they do make some good beers, turns out they just don’t export them). After a fun, drunken night, I woke up in my hostel with only an hour to pack my things and head to Sweden.

2nd Visit:
After returning from Sweden, arriving early in the morning I was desperate to see the city in day light having missed it before my Swedish trip. Walking the city I was able to enjoy the sights while the sun was up. Meandering from one side of the city, heading towards the Little Mermaid, I took in some great buildings, had a fantastic portion of Chips and Mayo, stopped off at a café for a beer and walked around a couple of Christmas markets. Soaking up the rain and the cities atmosphere, I was getting hungry. Returning back from the Little Mermaid I stumbled upon a fantastic little bar. More Carlsberg? Too right! Eventually returning to my hostel, I decided to get changed out my wet clothes and head to the hostel bar for a beer while using the WiFi to find some food. One website suggested my hostel had amazing pizza, how could I turn this down? Ordering a pizza and another beer I decided to update my travel note-pad, write some postcards and check out my photos from the last few days. As I was up early for my flight I decided to have an early night and stayed in the hostel for a couple of more drinks, chatting to a German couple before heading to bed. Copenhagen, wet weather, good beer, chilled out city. Not a bad way to end my adventures.
