Covid 19 Munro Project

I've been desperate to get up into the hills over the last few months. Finally the nicer weather is here....unfortunately so is Covid 19.

I've decided in order to help reduce the boredom and to help get me fit, I will climb a Munro,

For those of you who don't know, a Munro is a Scottish mountain which is higher than 3000 ft (914.4 m) above sea level.

But Aaron, how are you going to climb a mountain if you're being socially responsible in your house?

Good question. I have stairs in my house.

The height between my ground floor and first floor measures in at 99 inches.

Some quick maths tells us that 3000 ft is 36000 inches. That means 363.6363 trips up and down my stairs.

I of course can't do a 0.6363 trip up my stairs, it would be a pain to calculate what stair to stop on. This lead me to the touch choice, do I round down, thus just miss the Munro height, or round up and just walk slightly over a Munro?

If only there was a Munro that's height was perfectly divisible by 99 inches.....oh Wait, what height is Sgùrr Dearg? 3234 ft, which is 38808 inches, which is divisible by 99... So it's decided, I'm going to walk up and down my stairs 392 times.

Watch this space, hopefully I remember to social media and take photos of the trip to share.
